Casio CT-X700 customer reviews
On paper, our friend the Casio CT-X700 piano seems to check all the boxes. Is it nonetheless appreciated by its current users?
Well it seems so! For example, we have many that praise the Casio CT-X700‘s superb sound and touch quality. For a piano in such a price range, this is really an excellent point. Other users praise the instrument’s portability. With such a featherweight, you can indeed take it wherever you want. Your guitarist friends will have to watch out… Finally, the Casio CT-X700 piano will be greatly acclaimed for its excellent value for money. This is somewhat what we retain from all reviews about it: this keyboard offers real performance for the displayed price. It actually reminds me of its companions the Casio CT-S200 and Casio CT-S300 which also fulfill their role very well.
Wouldn’t there be some shadows in all this? Very few, honestly. I was still able to note one comment deploring the impractical use of features. And this person is right; the Casio CT-X700 piano has enormous amounts of sounds, rhythms, pre-recorded music, and features everywhere, which is good in one sense, but makes their use difficult in another.
My opinion on the Casio CT-X700
It’s not uncommon to come across a beginner struggling to find information about their future piano. Well, dear beginner, if you can hear me, this piano is made for you! Honestly, the Casio CT-X700 piano could perfectly suit a beginner on a tight budget.
In my digital piano buying guide for beginners, I explain that a model intended for new pianists must absolutely offer 3 things: decent sound quality, minimally realistic touch response, and competitive pricing. Fortunately, this keyboard checks all 3 boxes! It’s important that a pianist who’s starting doesn’t go broke on a four-figure model, if it’s to finally realize they’re not that much of a piano fan… So yes, starting on a Korg C1 Air or Classic Cantabile DP-50 is real luxury, but it can prove risky if passion doesn’t follow. Here the Casio CT-X700 promises great performance at a small price. And that’s excellent!
Few elements are problematic on this instrument. I’ll nonetheless note that with its number of keys being less than a classic piano, the Casio CT-X700 won’t allow exploring all possibilities. But once again, a beginner rarely ventures into extreme bass and treble ranges, which is why this type of configuration remains perfectly suitable for learning in my opinion. 88-key versions like the Donner DEP-10 remain possible if this point bothers you, at the cost of an inevitably higher price.
Let’s sum up
It’s clear that the Casio CT-X700 piano meets many expectations. Indeed, high-performing and available at a truly attractive price, buying this musical instrument will be a very good deal.
The days of keyboards with disastrous touch and catastrophic sound are now very far behind. Now, we can enjoy a lightweight, practical, and wireless instrument, all while adding more than decent sound quality and touch response. Numerous features complete it, and even if they’re not all the most essential, they at least have the merit of existing! The Casio CT-X700 piano is primarily intended for beginners, a point to remember because it has limits that an experienced pianist will quickly reach. Starting piano with such an instrument will ultimately be an excellent idea to avoid going broke.
Now, the choice is yours. And if this digital keyboard catches your eye, don’t let your opportunity pass to fully dive into piano practice!
