Detailed Casio CDP-S360 specifications
Portable digital piano design: The Casio CDP-S360 is engineered as a portable digital piano, allowing it to be easily transported wherever you need it. However, if you wish to install its associated piano stand, I have a solution for you at the end of this article.
88-key configuration: Thanks to this instrument’s 88 keys, it becomes easy to tackle any musical piece. Indeed, you’ll no longer be restricted by passages that are too low or too high to reach on a 61-key version.
Wired or wireless operation: In addition to being portable anywhere, the Casio CDP-S360 piano offers you the possibility to play everywhere! Its battery will indeed make it autonomous if you decide to play far from an electrical outlet.
Extensive rhythms and voices: This digital keyboard doesn’t do things halfway, offering no less than 700 sounds and 200 rhythms! Wow, enough to make your head spin…
Casio Music Space App: This application is fantastic for any pianist seeking to learn. Indeed, by connecting your Casio CDP-S360 piano to this app, you instantly access a music library of 60 pieces!
Connectivity and Bluetooth: This instrument’s connectivity allows you to plug in headphones, as well as devices via USB and MIDI. You can also, optionally, equip yourself with the Bluetooth WU-BT10 Dongle for wireless connection! This is available as an option on the Casio CDP-S360 sales page.
Additional features: Finally, this model offers numerous other functionalities like transposition, metronome, split, layer, pitch bend wheel, and pitch control. For learning or even playing together by dividing the keyboard in half, it’s really practical. Everything is explained in the manual anyway if you have any doubts.
Clearly, the Casio CDP-S360 piano has plenty of resources to offer! But before considering acquiring it, it’s essential to learn more about user reviews.
Casio CDP-S360 customer reviews and ratings
Well, what is this beloved Casio CDP-S360 piano really worth? That’s a question the buyers of this musical instrument will answer for us!
With an awesome overall average rating, I think we already have our answer… This model is very popular!
Many praise the Casio CDP-S360 for its numerous learning features. This is indeed a very important point that this keyboard handles without problem. Whether it’s its advanced connectivity or its dedicated application, you have all the tools you need to learn, compose, and progress. Next, the instrument gains points thanks to its excellent sound quality and superb natural touch response. These are essential points similar to the Roland FP-10 that make this model remarkably effective. We’ll also note that this Casio CDP-S360 piano is easy and intuitive to use. And that’s a very good point!
Would there be any downsides? Well, really very few. Some users will still criticize the Casio CDP-S360 piano for its fairly substantial weight. Even if this remains reasonable, it still deserves to be mentioned. Other much lighter models like the Yamaha P-145 or the Roland Go-88P are possible alternatives, but won’t have the same characteristics.
My personal review of the Casio CDP-S360
In the premium category, this Casio CDP-S360 makes a serious impact! It indeed scores numerous points, particularly thanks to its versatility and high performance.
I must bow before such advantages. Indeed, the Casio CDP-S360 is still far from being overpriced, yet offers superb sound and tactile sensations. For a beginning pianist, it’s an excellent way to develop skills. And for an experienced pianist, it’s an excellent way not to lose them! Because yes, this digital piano suits all types of pianists. An experienced player will therefore have no trouble enjoying themselves on such a keyboard. I must also applaud the device’s battery operation that will allow you to play anywhere, and it’s quite rare to offer this on 88-key models!
Too bad though that the associated stand isn’t offered for sale with the instrument. For your information, its commercial name is the Casio CS-470. If it interests you, I’ll obviously include it at the end of the article, right after the button that redirects to the Casio CDP-S360 page. I think anyway that this type of keyboard makes complete sense with a dedicated stand, because we must admit that the instrument is quite heavy. And I sincerely think that to have all the elegance of a beautiful cabinet digital piano like the Korg C1 Air or the Classic Cantabile UP-1, such a stand is not a luxury. But that’s for you to decide!
Let’s sum up
If we must remember one single element about the Casio CDP-S360 piano, it would undoubtedly be its superb qualities in terms of sound and touch response.
This instrument category obviously starts to have a somewhat elevated price, but remember that we’re dealing with premium quality here! With this instrument, you can succeed regardless of your skill level. It will suit beginners as well as advanced players. Where a model like the Yamaha Piaggero NP-12 will be much less expensive and excellent for starting out, the Casio CDP-S360 piano will be useful even if you tackle learning very technical pieces. There you go, you’ll want to attack Chopin’s Études! Also remember that this digital keyboard has a wireless mode allowing you to play anywhere. Freedom is yours!
Well, I must admit that this Casio CDP-S360 has more than one trick up its sleeve. So, are you ready to let this instrument show you what it’s capable of?
