Console digital piano: The Yamaha Arius YDP-145 piano is a console digital piano. It therefore comes with a solid stand and pedals, which will make it elegant and similar to a real upright piano.
88 keys: Thanks to its 88 keys, you’ll be able to cover all scales without being restricted by passages that are too low or too high.
10 sounds: The Yamaha Arius YDP-145 piano also comes with 10 different sounds like organ, violin or harpsichord.
3 pedals: You’ll have here not one, not 2, but indeed 3 playing pedals! The most important, the sustain pedal, can prolong the sound of your notes. Yamaha Arius YDP-145 buyer reviews
If you still doubted the Yamaha Arius YDP-145 piano’s reputation, let me dispel all your suspicions!
With a great overall rating, this musical instrument indeed makes a very beautiful score, and I must say it doesn’t surprise me for a single second. This model is a Yamaha bestseller, and it has easily found its audience.
Positive feedback is numerous and praises the Yamaha Arius YDP-145 piano’s pleasant weighted and authentic touch. This model indeed succeeds well in its bet to get close to the sensations of a real acoustic piano. Even if it’s inimitable, the less experienced could almost not see the difference! Other comments greatly appreciate the instrument’s superb sound. Its elegant design, which transforms it into a magnificent piece of furniture, will also receive numerous praise. But don’t forget to play with it from time to time!
Regarding negative reviews, honestly? I didn’t find any… And I must say it bothers me a bit! The only bad ratings concern delivery, so indeed be vigilant on this point: the Yamaha Arius YDP-145 piano is a bulky package, so be certain you can handle its reception. If this point is a problem for you, favor instead a portable version like the Yamaha P-225 or the Roland Go-88P for an even cheaper version, but inevitably less accomplished.
My opinion on the Yamaha Arius YDP-145
How to succeed in criticizing this instrument? How to find flaws in its robustness and efficiency? That’s going to be quite a challenge for me. Honestly, the Yamaha Arius YDP-145 piano is simply an absolute success from Yamaha.
To tell you everything, I really started piano on its previous version the YDP-144; this one is its evolved version. And what a pleasure it was to learn on such a musical instrument! The sound is exceptional with sampling drawn from the famous Yamaha CFX concert piano, and its natural touch really allowed me to learn piano with confidence and pleasure, enabling me to acquire solid foundations. When I moved to a real acoustic piano years later, I had no trouble adapting because the sensations from this instrument had given me such confidence.
I’m sorry but I find no fault with it. Too expensive? Honestly no, it’s completely worth its price, knowing it’s a Yamaha. We’ll still have to admit that the entry ticket might cool some people down, that’s for sure. Keep in mind that we’ll stay on very high-quality models and therefore at a price that won’t be free either. But what do you want, we didn’t choose the world’s cheapest passion unfortunately… Quality must be paid for!
Let’s sum up
In summary, it must be said that this musical instrument is good everywhere, it does everything asked of it without flinching. Its robustness and construction quality are no longer to be proven and I sincerely doubt it really has defects.
Yes, the price isn’t the most accessible, but you can take my word for it, you’ll get your money’s worth. Obviously, if you’re buying this piano for someone close who told you one day “piano looks cool I’d like to try!”… the bet can be risky. Indeed, spending so much without being sure not to get tired of piano practice after 3 weeks can be scary! For that, start with a Casio CT-S100 or a Roland Go-61P which will be excellent introductions to the piano world. But let’s be honest, although totally suited to musical discovery, you’ll quickly be limited with these two models if you’re looking to go further. The Yamaha Arius YDP-145 piano will be an exceptional choice.
In any case, if I had to go back and choose my first piano again… well I wouldn’t change my mind, and I’d take this one again without hesitation!
