Casio CT-S1 customer reviews and ratings
Before considering purchasing the Casio CT-S1 piano, what do actual users say about this model? Are the reviews positive or disappointing?
The feedback is overwhelmingly positive! With an impressive average rating, this keyboard achieves an excellent score that places it among the top-rated options!
Positive reviews consistently praise the Casio CT-S1 piano for its outstanding sound quality and responsive touch feel. While it obviously can’t match a genuine acoustic piano, delivering such impressive audio and tactile performance at this price point is truly remarkable. The instrument also receives praise for its build quality and portability. This is classic Casio engineering, a brand that consistently demonstrates its ability to deliver quality across all performance categories. Finally, the color choice options receive universal approval – it was definitely a smart decision to include this customization!
What about negative feedback? With such high ratings, critical comments are quite rare. Some buyers do mention complicated programming interfaces. Similar to its sibling model the Casio CT-X700, the Casio CT-S1‘s feature setup and function controls aren’t the most intuitive. However, these advanced features do exist and add value to the instrument.
My personal review of the Casio CT-S1
I have to admit, I’m quite impressed with this Casio CT-S1 piano – it’s really appealing beyond just its attractive appearance, offering truly admirable performance capabilities!
I believe if I had started learning piano when the Casio CT-S1 was first released, I would have chosen this model. Why? Because it provides everything a beginner needs to succeed. Learning functions through the Casio Music Space, Bluetooth compatibility, MIDI and USB connectivity, headphone output, a keyboard with excellent touch response, numerous high-quality sounds and voices. Honestly, what more could you need to start your piano journey? It even serves advanced players well as a secondary instrument. In addition to your main piano, you could use the Casio CT-S1 wherever you travel. Because let’s face it – you can’t exactly pack an acoustic piano in your luggage!
Few factors work against this keyboard, though some beginners might find the price slightly high. When you’re not certain about long-term piano commitment, making any purchase can feel challenging, even though the Casio CT-S1 piano is far from expensive! Nevertheless, alternatives like the Casio CT-100, Alesis Melody 61, or RockJam 61 might appeal to budget-conscious buyers, though with some performance and feel compromises. I should also note this model has fewer keys than a standard piano, so while it’s sufficient initially, you’ll eventually need to upgrade to an 88-key model for complete repertoire access.
Let’s sum up
In summary, the Casio CT-S1 piano will easily find its target audience, with performance capabilities and unique features making it suitable for many different pianists.
It makes an excellent first impression with superior sound quality and keyboard feel. Once again, this level of quality at this price point is truly impressive. While some advanced features might seem excessive or unnecessary (I doubt you’ll use all 61 available voices), the optional sustain pedal availability is a welcome addition! Battery power operation is also an excellent advantage allowing the Casio CT-S1 to be used anywhere. Unfortunately, no stand or bench is included. This is fairly standard though, which is why you can complete your purchase by selecting a piano stand or piano bench.
The choice is now yours. Whether you want to begin learning, resume playing, or improve your piano skills at home or while traveling, the Casio CT-S1 can undoubtedly help you achieve your musical goals!
